Those of you who have followed me, know that I recently self published my first novel preview on Amazon.com. It’s a full five chapter preview.
I finally got the email from Createspace with the next steps for my paperback version of the preview. {Nearly a week later. So much for their “48 hours” review, huh?”
I completed the set up and now…
I’m in review again. {supposedly another 48 hours for the final set up review period…}
But, I do have some good news!
I’m up to 67 downloads and 67 likes on Smashwords!
I have to admit, I doubted anyone would be willing to pay $0.99 for a preview. Because of Amazon’s minimum price requirement for new published e-books, I was forced to put that price.
I just checked my stats and discovered I have sold three copies. Talk about shocked!
Best yet…
I officially validated my CampNano 2012 win yesterday at 66,111 words! That’s my first CampNano win and second Nano victory!
Next step for me is marketing the preview of my novel. I’ve started scheduling reviews on blogs and stuff. Hopefully when the full novel is ready I’ll find an actual blog tour or two to join.
So, how have your efforts to promotes and get your books ready for distribution gone so far?
