Excerpt:

Given the day I was having, it came as no surprise that when I got home, I found the dogs sprawled in a drugged sleep and the sounds of things being overturned from within the warehouse. I decided not to bother with subtlety, but I did resist the urge to burst in with flames going full-blast. I had questions first.

Naturally, I walked straight in to find an automatic weapon—yep, a bona fide black-market AK-47—and I thought only Faerie lived their clichés—and six other weapons of various types pointed at me. I didn’t stop, just closed the door with my tail while I strolled in slow and placid-like. My visitors had shaved heads, faces painted white with clown paint, and black t-shirts with swastikas in white circles.

“If you’re the housekeeping service, you’re fired.”

“You stay right there, or we gonna fire you!” said one guy from the sidelines as he held his nunchucks at the ready.

What’d he think he would do—whack me on the nose? I turned to the one holding the assault rifle. “Scraping the bottom of the barrel with that one, weren’t you?”

“He’s right. You just stay still while we search the place.”

“The place” was a ten-thousand square foot warehouse with offices on the upper floor. Boxes I still hadn’t opened line the walls and made a maze in the second warehouse room. I settled myself on the floor and rested my head on my crossed arms. “Go ahead. I get half of anything you find.”

They stared at me, unbelieving. I smiled back. Mr. Cooperation, that’s me. Finally, Big Gun snarled for the others to get to work. As he turned his back on me, Nunchucks muttered, “I got your half. Don’t think I don’t.” Guess he learned such witty repartee in Hitler Youth Summer Camp.

I watched and listened and waited. With eight teenage skinheads trashing my place, it was only a matter of time.

“I wouldn’t go in there if I were you,” I suggested as Nunchucks made a grab for the doorknob to Grace’s workshop.

“You gonna stop me?” He turned the knob.

“Nope,” I said as I closed my ears and my eyes. Even so, I saw the otherworldly light and heard the harmonious roar of Divine Vengeance followed by Mundane screams.

“The Heavenly Host on the other hand…”

I waited until the screams died down to whimpers before opening my eyes and rising.

Four of the skinheads were unconscious. Three may as well have been; they were curled up in the fetal position, whimpering. Nunchucks was actually crying for his mommy. Big Guns had collapsed to the floor as well, the gun thrown away from him. He was sitting and rocking and making high-pitched keening through the roof of his mouth.

I’d tell Grace to tone down her wards some, except that the effect is directly proportional to the evilness of the intent. Suddenly, I was feeling a little shaky about my earlier entrance.

Knights out of the armor now. I went around, collecting weapons in the office trash can and poking through pockets. I found the usual stuff—driver’s licenses, credit cards, petty cash… One kid had a condom; wishful thinking on his part, I knew. Another had a report card. MLK High. Wonder if he was the one beating up Faerie kids? Honor roll grades, too. Of all the years I’ve battled evil, there were still some things I didn’t understand.

As I was returning Big Guns’ (aka Rick Matherston’s) wallet back into his jacket pocket, he blinked and focused on me.

“What was that?”

“Angels, kid.” Actually a kind of magical shadow of the real thing, but close enough.
“But I thought angels were—”

“There’s a reason why their first words are usually ‘Fear not!’ whenever they meet a human.”

His eyes returned to their unfocused stare. I almost felt sorry for him. Then I noticed the letters FARISLAR tattooed on his knuckles. Faerie slayer.

About Greater Treasures:  Most people associate the Dragon Eye stories with high humor ranging from puns to slapstick, and in fact, the first stories and the novels have certainly been crazy fun.  But the life of a cynical dragon PI isn’t all laughs, and Vern has had a few chilling stories to tell me.  Some of these, I’ve sold to anthologies, but some are too long for that.  Thus, I’ve decided to start publishing them on my own.

One thing I like to do for Dragon Eye stories is watch old noir films.  Greater Treasures came to me while watching the Maltese Falcon.  If you’ve never seen it, I recommend it.  (Then, reread the story to see if you catch the in jokes.)  I needed something with more “oomph” than a bird statue, and since Vern has some history with the Lance of Longinus, it made a good fit.  I enjoyed looking up all the conspiracy theories about the use of the Lance by Hitler, which is where the neo-Nazi angle came in.  To say more would be spoilers, so please, enjoy the story.

And if you do, be sure to check out Vern’s other tales at http://dragoneyepi.net.

My Review:

Karina Fabian did an excellent job of showcasing her fertile imagination with this collection of short stories. Weaving so many short stories into a novella length couldn’t have been easy. They don’t seem pieced together either, they meld smoothly.

Vern, a dragon detective, is an awesome character with a lively personality. Besides being charming and witty, he has a wicked sense of humor and an enormous heart with a soft spot for his fairy human partner Grace who is a nun.

I enjoyed the mixture of religious aspects and fantasy elements. Adding the particular story twists she used was a fitting touch. I found the story entertaining and easy to lose myself in. My only complaint is that it ended far too soon.

Willsin Rowe falls in love with a scent, a playful expression or an act of casual intimacy more easily than with physical beauty. Hello everyone. Welcome to:

Kitty’s Inner Thoughts Interview for Submission Therapy by Katie Salidas & Willsin Rowe.

When/Why/and How they decided to team up to write the series.

Katie: Willsin and I have worked together for years. We started as bloggers at Coffee Fueled Erotica (http://coffeefuelederotica.blogspot.com/), then critiquing partners, and then we moved to partnering up and co-authoring. Submission Therapy was not the first, but I believe it is our best collaboration. It started out with an idea and we both loved it so much it blossomed into so much more.

Willsin: And we’d also worked together on some cover art throughout all that time. It might not sound relevant, but it was another way that our brains could understand each other. Thinking visually, and telling a story with static imagery, can be difficult. By working together on a couple of covers, we’d already explored each other’s lateral thinking capabilities. Writing together came pretty naturally.

How the series came into existence.

Katie: There was this character. She was the biggest hard ass imaginable. Stressed out from micromanaging everything and everyone around her. She was so tightly wound she could snap at any minute. And she needed a story. I remember running the idea past Willsin way before we decided to go with it. And even then, he said it sounded great. What this woman needed was to learn how to let go. And what is the most extreme version of letting go? Submission. The story really just had to be written after that.

Willsin: Absolutely. The idea for Submission Therapy appealed to me straight away. When I read through Katie’s rough four-page draft of the opening scene, I could already picture the story arc. Well roughly, anyway. That’s the beauty of co-writing for us. We each see the journey from a slightly different perspective, and usually those differences actually bolster the work, and elevate the final product. Reviewers certainly seem to think so, anyway!

Why eroticas?

Katie: Why not? Really. It is so much fun to write.

Willsin: Hey, I’m a dude. I’m always thinkin’ about it, after all! But seriously, I love the intensity of desire, and the way lust will make people behave. I’m quite keen on the darker sides of human nature, and erotica is a wonderful genre to explore those shadows.

Why the billionaire BDSM and not another market?

Katie: This is what this particular story needed. We have other works, some Menage, some Office Nookie. Really, it is just what the story dictates. We do not set out to write one specific type of story for one specific market. We write what we love and what we know you love too.

Willsin: Yep, all of what Katie said. And the other reason we tackled Billionaire BDSM was because we wanted to look at it from the other perspective. In our story, we have a female billionaire. She’s in a position of great power and responsibility. That was of paramount importance to us. We wanted to inject a note of realism, and wanted to keep away from the “bullying” nature of an already-powerful man disciplining an already-subordinate woman.

Any plans to write in another genre together?

Katie: We’re always working on new and fun stories. Right now we have a Paranormal erotic story in the works. =)

Willsin: Absolutely. I have a paranormal urban thriller I’m nudging away at. But I can see the day fast approaching where I’ll have to bring Katie in. If there’s anyone who knows vampires, it’s our Katie!

Blurb:

Brooke Hart was beautiful, smart, and groomed from birth to deal with adversity. Her widowed father did his best to raise his baby girl to be a strong-minded business woman. Then she found Tanner. Just when her world seemed perfect, everything turned upside down. Following Tanner’s tragic death, Brooke joins a start-up company that is developing a cure for the disease that killed the love of her life. Just before the treatment is ready to market, the company is gobbled up by a giant conglomerate. She moves to the acquiring company as its youngest VP and becomes enamored with CEO Chase Allman—only to be betrayed by him. Brooke rebounds again and sets out on a personal journey to discover what will truly make her happy. Sparks fly when she and Chase cross paths again in an unlikely way. Now, they need each other to find an abducted child and save thousands of people.

Excerpt:

What am I doing here? Brooke had been asking herself that question for the past six weeks. The thirty-three-year-old vice president seemed to have it all, yet it felt as if her career ladder and life had crashed. Hoping to move on, relocating to the new company had officially backfired. All the blind dates set up by her well-meaning inner circle—her father, Melissa, Shane, and Todd—had fizzled before hors d’oeuvres. Online dating turned into mis-matched.com. Damn Tanner.

Feeling claustrophobic in this stuffy room, the corporate strangers eyed her like a piñata and they were clenching bats. The stiff dress code mirrored the culture, and both felt about as comfy as tweed pajamas.

Suddenly, the boardroom hushed. All eyes pointed to the entryway like canines at obedience training graduation. Except for Brooke, whose back faced the door. She craned her neck; a whisk of air drew her to the opposite direction, followed by a masculine scent of sandalwood and cedar. Seductive.

Mr. Smellgood looked striking from the side. His physique matched his fragrance. He set his fancy briefcase at the head of the table—mahogany on mahogany. As if revealing a game show prize, he slid off his navy suit coat. Brooke’s eyes widened as he draped it over the high-backed leather chair. He had a rugged build she expected to see on a mountain climber or surfer, but not on an executive for a drug company. Brooke’s instant attraction surprised her.

 My Review:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

The Bad:

The metaphores are heavy-handed. The instant attraction felt forced. The backstory of the town came way too early and borders on the dreadful Info Dump. The plot dragged in some places and many of the twists were obvious. Tanner’s suicide bugged me and so the prologue made no sense. Opening a romance with the death of the beloved is a risky move, in this case it only confused me.

The Good:

Once the story picks up it is easy to anticipate the next chapter and the next time the characters will see each other. The backstory for our hero is well thought out. I enjoyed how even though they went through so much pain and sorrow both Brooke and Chase prayed. The moments with Chase and Patrick praying were heartwarming. I adored the ending, though it was drawn out too.

RBTL Presents Finding Hope by Krystal Shannan

Finding Hope Blog Tour

Title: Finding Hope

Author: Krystal Shannan

Series: Pool of Souls (#2)

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Publisher:  Self Published

Release Date: March 10

Edition/Formats Available In:  E~Book

Number of Pages: 185

Blurb/Synopsis:

Warning: The plot thickens with a passel of pissed off Olympians, but Ares and Aphrodite are in for a double dose of trouble! More Olympians join the mix in Finding Hope: Pool of Souls Book 2. A jewel addict, a kick-ass possibly-virgin huntress, and an insatiable ancient oracle are just a few. But don’t worry; Ares and Aphrodite are still front and center.

Addison Connelly has given up on men. She is disappointed yet again when her best friend tries to play matchmaker, and the match falls flat…or does it? Her friend knows all Addison needs is a chance, a little hope, and maybe a dropkick in the right direction. With an extra push from Aphrodite, will this lonely soul learn to trust again? Or will she run from the only man who could make her happy?

Adrian Colter, Nashville Police Detective and certifiable bachelor, puts his foot in his mouth in a big way when his roommate’s fiancé tries to match him up with her best friend. After making a horrible first impression, can he earn the trust of a woman who won’t speak a civil word to him?

Adrian isn’t the only one trying to earn the trust of a beautiful woman. While Ares fights to rebuild the trust he lost thousands of years ago with the Goddess of Love, his parents do what they do best —show off their greed and selfishness. Will he find the hope and forgiveness he so desperate seeks or will his parents destroy his chance at happiness?

Excerpt:

The hairs on Aphrodite’s arms tingled.  She could sense his essence in her palace. It reached for hers. Besides Dionysus, Ares was the only other Olympian with a pass through the wards to enter her palace uninvited.

Sure enough, moments later, Ares came strolling into her bedroom.  She turned from the window where she’d been staring out into the garden. Since the strange feeling she’d gotten the other day, she had kept a very close watch on the garden. Her wards were in place, but still she worried over them as a mother worries over her children.

Ares slid his hands down her shoulders, along her arms, and came to a stop on either hip.  He pulled her against his hard, muscled chest, his erection hot and throbbing against the small of her back.

Gods, she had missed him.  He had been off Olympus for almost three weeks. Her body trembled in response, and white tendrils of her essence crept outward to intertwine with his red.

“I have missed you, Ditee.” His voice rumbled low in his chest.

Red tendrils of his essence began weaving through hers, entwining around her body. It was like wearing a full body vibrator –if one could imagine such a thing.

She twisted in his grasp to face him and draped her arms around his neck. He bent down and took her mouth. His tongue danced with hers. He tasted of sandalwood and spice. She pulled away and looked up into his brown eyes. Flecks of red glowed brightly in the irises.  At the height of passion they would change completely to a brilliant crimson, just as her blue eyes would chance to an iridescent white. In that one moment, the moment of ecstasy, a god was vulnerable and unguarded, their essence could blend, linking them forever. But the risk was worth the pleasure of the reward. True ecstasy was difficult to find as an immortal or human.

My Review:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed watching Ares and Aphrodite’s relationship strengthen. The story line with them in it was a nice addition. Addison and Adrian’s story was cute. I’m happy that he was there for her when she needed him the most. I noticed several small errors as I read, but they weren’t enough to completely draw me out of the story. Those who enjoyed Open House, will undoubtedly enjoy Finding Hope. The characters are life-like, the plots have many unexpected twists. The descriptions of Hera and Zeus were refreshing. Nothing like you’d expect.

Title: Aphrodite’s Secret

Author: Samantha Ketteman

Series: The Forgotten (Book 1)

Genre: Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy

Publisher:  Self Published

Release Date: Feb 28 2013

Edition/Formats Available In:  E~book  & Print

Synopsis:

Kaira, still reeling from the loss of her younger sister in a tragic boating accident, lives in the dark world of exotic dancing for survival. When one man enters her life, her world is turned upside down and inside out, where reality and fantasy seem to intertwine.

Kaira feels the eyes of a striking man watching her every move on stage. Zane is a scarred man with many secrets, one of which is the knowledge of who and what Kaira really is and the danger she will face.

While Zane fights a subconscious battle about what to tell her and whether he cares enough to get involved, another has noticed her as well. An Ithacan, sent to destroy her for what she is and take her powers to the God that has commanded all Forgotten be exterminated. The God intends to absorb her powers and rule absolutely.

Before Kaira realizes what is coming for her, she finds herself tumbling into a world where a scarred man that she is inexplicably attracted to will become her only hope. A hideous creature, one such as she’s never seen, is hunting her and trying his best to destroy everything and everyone she knows to get what he wants for his Master, and only Zane knows why.

While Kaira thinks it coincidence that Zane shows up at the club the girls like to frequent after work, Zane uses the planned interception to explore the pull that he feels towards Kaira, when he has cared for no one but himself for so many years. After finally meeting, Zane notices that the Ithacan has also followed and as their eyes meet, they both know that the battle for her soul will come; who will win is less important as the insistence Zane feels to tell Kaira who and what she is before she ends up like her sister.

Excerpt:

Kaira knew she should really pick up all of the glass, but she couldn’t bring herself to care about anything but paying back the person that dared to ruin something so irreplaceable. It felt like a direct attack on the memory of her beautiful sister; she would put up with many things, but that was not one of them. With revenge burning in her heart, she snatched her items from the floor and threw them back onto the vanity counter.

The tears finally began to slow and Kaira allowed herself a few minutes in her chair to calm her temper. Kaira knew how exhausting it could be if she allowed her anger to fester when she couldn’t change what had been done. She knew the next time she came to work, she would remember and relive the hurt, and that would be enough ammunition to force the anger back to the forefront of her mind.

My Review:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Bad:

The plot was long and drawn out. The descriptions were heavy handed in every area, except the emotions which were glossed over. I found myself having to stop every so often to recoup so I could continue reading. The climax was anticlimactic, as was Kiara’s transformation. The book needs the firm touch of an editor. I felt cheated by not learning who Kai’s father was. The POV’s were all mixed up. There wasn’t as much tension as I’d have hoped for.

The Good:

I always enjoy reading a new writer’s take on the Greek Gods and Godesses. I enjoyed the obvious love Aphrodite held for her daughter. That’s not something you see often. I adored Jasmine’s character and Zane’s. I enjoyed the new take on strippers and why they do that particular job. The backstory for Zane with Zeus was an interesting twist. I loved the ending where Zane was reunited with his brothers.

Blurb/Synopsis:

She makes his blood burn

Dominic Blackmoore meets the woman who captures his mind and body with a look and he’s instantly taken with her. When he was ordered to take another mate quickly after separating from his ex, he loathed the idea. However, after catching sight of his bruid he quickly changes his mind. He finds her utterly captivating, sensually erotic, and yearns to learn everything about her.

But she’s not his bruid

The woman he’s mistaken as his bruid is none other than the event planner, Felicity Shaw, for his mating ceremony. Now Dominic will do everything it takes, even lie to the woman he craves, to keep her at his side. He needs to mate with his bruid in order to win his political campaign but he finds himself falling in love with Felicity Shaw. In the end he must choose between work or love. He may make the right decision, but is it too late to save his lies from hurting Felicity?

He takes her breath away

Felicity Shaw wants more in life. She’ll even lie to get it, which is exactly how she lands a job with the illustrious Blackmoore family. However, it’s the head of the vampire household, Dominic Blackmoore, that has her heart racing and breath catching. The man consumes her unlike anyone ever has before. She can’t resist him though she tries. As she’s forced to work with Dominic she tries to keep away from him but he doesn’t make things easy.

She may want him with a passion she’s never experienced before, but she will not be with him when he’s mating to another woman. It’s either her or no one. But one terrible lies seals their fates together in ways neither of them imagined, threatening their love and the very fabric of their relationship.

Excerpt

“How could you?”

It took even less time than she would have expected to see regret flash across his face. That alone made her flinch like she’d taken a punch to the gut. His head jerked towards the front of the house at the sound of high heels coming their way.

“You know how I feel, Felicity. God damn it!” As if that made any of this better. As if that erased her shame or changed anything.

He pulled his pants up and with a little adjusting managed to make his suit look neatly pressed as if he’d just put it on. Even his hair looked freshly combed and smooth, not a single hair out of place. She had no doubt how she looked though—like she’d just been fucked against a door.

He knew where this would lead them, how this would hurt her. Yet he did it anyway, he touched her. A tear she couldn’t contain slid down her cheek. He wiped it away with his thumb, his face softening.

“Don’t cry, sweets.”

She couldn’t stand the endearment. Not now, not when her whole heart was breaking.

The footsteps came closer for which she thanked the stars. It helped her to get her bearings and move, no easy feat after feeling him inside her body for the first time.

“Don’t ever touch me again,” she said, not meeting his eyes. She meant it and she knew he heard the conviction in her voice. He’d never touch her again after that. She was done.

Quickly, she slipped in the garage door. She knew she should flee but some sickness inside her made her pause outside the door. She stayed silent and listened.

“Ah, there you are. I didn’t know if you were here yet,” a warm, feminine voice said.

“Julianna, it’s good to see you.” She could hear the smile in Dom’s voice and knew it was forced. The sound of kissing was like a lethal blow to her heart. She staggered back a step as her heart stopped beating for one agonizing moment. She’d bet money that Julianna didn’t know that his smile was forced, the kiss not real.

She probably didn’t know anything about him and, if she did, it didn’t matter because no one loved Dom like she did. No one. Not even his Julianna, the woman he was to mate with—his bruid.

Another tear slid down her cheek. She wanted to sob but first she had to escape. She could never be around Dom again; no matter how much she loved him or what he promised. Yet, a part of her knew the thought was fruitless. He would never leave her alone now. He’d find her. He wouldn’t give up on her. It was in his nature.

But he didn’t love her.

And he was mating with another woman.

My Review:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Take Me is a dark erotica. There is violence as in prone in books of this genre, but Take Me really focuses mainly on the instant fatal attraction between Dom, a highly dominant and prominent Vampire and Felicity, the female vampire who applied for the job as his mating planner.

From the beginning these two are inexplicably drawn to one another. Passion flares whether they are simply talking, or arguing. The more time they spend together the harder it becomes to keep their hands off each other, though Felicity refuses to be intimate with him until after he breaks off his mating with the other woman who holds zero interest for him and is a means of ensuring the votes Dom needs to win the presidential election.

As you can imagine, Dom will not be denied. He is a male who always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Felicity.

About the author:

T.A. Grey

I love to write the kind of stories that will keep you up late at night and make your heart pound. It’s my goal in writing to make each new book better, more exciting, more action-packed, not only to test myself as a writer but to keep thrilling you. I’m always trying to push the boundaries with my imagination, and yours, to create something new and different.

If you’re a fan of paranormal romance novels then you’ll love my Bellum Sisters Trilogy. This isn’t your typical romance story, so be prepared for a kick of heat and tons of action. The Bellum Sisters Trilogy has received excellent reviews from paranormal bloggers and two of the three books are Top Picks from Night Owl Reviews.

Now, if you like shorter books with quite a bit of heat, humor, and action then I’d recommend the Kategan Alphas series. This erotic series features the sexy Kategan family and all the lucky men and women who get to meet them and complete their lives.

First official review and news.

Dangerous Temptation Cover

Hey everyone. The first “Official” review for Dangerous Temptation posted yesterday at Satin Sheets. A fabulous 5 stars. Yay! Thanks Dariel and Satin Sheets.

Meanwhile, I have a few reviews left to write for the end of this month for various blog tours. So, that’s today’s plan till Sarge is ready to work on our side project. He and I are co-writing a super crazy fanfic. Final goal is no less than one-million words, which breaks down to roughly 10K per chapter. Yeah, we’re crazy. But, we’re having a blast doing it! And that’s what matters.

Man, I’m gonna miss him when he gets redeployed. So for now, we’re living up the time we have together.

In other news, I’m slowly re-organizing the blog while I wait for the next MFRW org. Marketing Summer Camp which is set for mid July.  Till then it’s mostly reviews and blog tours hosting.  I’ll also start jumping back into the thick of the convos at my writing groups and stuff.

I have started the second book in my Caspian series. It’s slow going, but going.

On a more personal note. I’m hoping to get back into the bi-weekly hiking sessions with my family this summer too. Just gotta watch how much sun I get.

On a final note. Remember that big news I waited to share? Well….Now it’s official!

Dangerous Temptation is now live at Coffee Time Romance! And it’s currently on sale for 20% off. How awesome is that?

Awesome news and a lesson!

Barnes and Noble – Nook

I’m pleased to announce that my debut new adult novel Dangerous Temptation is now available on Nook. Which means Smashwords has already started distributing it to their partners around the world.  This widens the reach of my audience considerably. And it’s only the beginning.

On April 21st Dangerous Temptation will be officially reviewed by Satin Sheets Romance. I can’t wait to read their review!

On Amazon the full novel has already received a 5 star review. On Goodreads it’s received a new 5 star rating, but no review yet, fans are growing, and more people have added it to their TBR list.

Today’s lesson is simple:

When it’s time to let go and publish, don’t hold back.

Find as wide of a distribution range as you can and don’t let fear limit where you publish through.

The contacts you make throughout your journey are precious. Never forget to thank them. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. The writing community is full of helpful people. It’s a give and take relationship and should be valued.

I have some more news to share with all of you. But, I’m waiting for everything to become official before I share it. *winks*

When Thomas heard the shots ring out he did not hesitate to charge toward the gunfire. It was built into him just as it was built into Jefferson and Alek. They all knew Keylee was out in the front, but it wouldn’t have mattered if the place were empty, because the very idea that there was danger sent them into action.

Review for Bounty For Hunter:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Hunter, an architect who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, got tangled up in a nasty situation.

Keylee, a bad-ass bounty hunter, just picked up her next job, which neither of her brothers are too happy about. I adored each of her brothers. Got to love overprotective brothers. Especially Alek.

The plot held my interest as did the characters. Especially Zeus. I have a friend who adores dogs in books and would love Zeus. Honestly I’m an animal person myself, so Zeus was my fave character of the whole book. Yup, I’m weird that way. I always have a soft spot for the most unusual characters.

Some of the word choices confused me and pulled me out of the story, so did the mixed up words and the head hopping, but I was quickly drawn back in by the many twists and turns. The mystery about Keely’s past kept me seeking answers.

Review for Bounty’s End:

In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Opening this book where the first one {Bounty For Hunter} started, but from one of the brothers’ {Thomas’}POV was an interesting touch. I’m glad that it quickly veered off into a completely new story afterward though.

Wen had her heart broken by an old boyfriend and because of that is captious around Thomas, who she instinctively knows could be an irresistible danger to her heart if given the chance.

Thomas has been smitten since the day Wen first moved in across the street and has slowly wooed her into a coffee date which turns into more than either expected.

Again I stumbled over some of the word choices and the head hopping which pulled me out of the story, but the unexpected twists quickly pulled me back in.

I enjoyed the characters and the plot and am eager to read more about Alek next. He’s fast become my favorite character from the series.
