Today over on the Paranormal Wednesday Blog, by Shondra Brock. She came up with some fabulous questions and I had a lot of fun! So be sure to stop by and check it out.

Happy Independence Day America!

Today America celebrates it’s Birthday.  We celebrate our independence. We celebrate the freedom that has come at a heavy price. So many brave men and women have sacrificed everything to fight for what they believed in. Even today that fight continues with new generations of brave men and women.

Let’s not forget what today is really about. Those men and women have put everything, heart, soul, body, and life, all on the line to keep our country and it’s citizens free. Many are still fighting this very moment, to free other countries. The flag is nice, but it stands for freedom, and for bravery. It stands for countless, and continuous sacrifices.

So yeah, celebrate the flag, but remember the meanings behind it. Don’t dishonor their memories or cheapen their sacrifices by sweeping it under the rug and calling it “flag day”. It’s Independence Day. Our country’s Birthday, which so many people have paid the ultimate sacrifice for.

What does the 4th of July mean to you? Do you celebrate with big family dinners and fireworks? Or do you go on vacation to some beach and celebrate there? Do you BBQ with your friends and neighbors?

It really gets on my nerves when people try to sweep it under the rug by calling it flag day *shakes head*
