Hey everyone, I promised a follow up post after the radio show sharing my insights.
It was really fun. Once the introductions finished, it was just like talking to old friends. Deb Scott is such a wonderful radio show host and knows her stuff. She guided the conversation with expertise, and kept us from stumbling over our words.
It’s easy to see why thebestpeopleweknow is so popular.
Kayelle and Karen are fun to be around. Their friendliness and open nature is infectious. #MFRW helps a lot of writers around the world. It’s a wonderful group that covers all aspects, from writing advice, to marketing. The classes are engaging and full of information, yet fun and relaxing.
TheBestPeopleWeKnow was recorded live, no take backs. So a few stumbles, but over all I think my nerves were kept under a tight lid. So many questions came at me unexpectedly. Ones that weren’t written down, and thus weren’t prepared for. So, it was a real learning experience.
I was absolutely shocked by some of the things all three ladies said about me. I had no idea I was making such an impact, or such a big impression on people. I “pay it forward” because to me, that is what the entire writing community should be about. Helping others. I’ve had a lot of helpful advice, from so many people, and continue to get help from them. So, I’m doing my part and helping others, just because I can.
Do I see myself as a leader? No way! Never have. {I’m way too shy to lead}
I help because I can. It makes me happy to help others. That’s the entire reason I started this blog. To help others. I’m pleased to find more groups are adapting the pay it forward style of doing things. It makes me smile when I see people helping others.
I enjoy connecting with other writers and people in the writing community. I love connecting with my readers too. In my opinion, that is the best part of being an author.
I’m blown away that yesterday’s show has already ranked #4 in writing! I figured it was a routine show.
Thanks everyone for your support and for tuning into the show.
