‘m excited and nervous all at once. The preview for Dangerous Temptation launches the end of June.

The picture above is the first option for a cover art, but the final product will have more dynamic hair, a different knife, and a camera. Id love to get your opinions on it.

If you saw this on a shelf would it tempt you to read the blurb, or take it home? Does it convey YA Paranormal Romance enough?

Book Blurb:

Seventeen year-old Kaitlin Sinclair’s world is turned upside down when she moves to Indonesia, and discovers the secrets that threaten the existence of the enchanting Cadmon and his people. She dives into a foreign culture, full of mystique and dangers everywhere she turns, where keeping her heart safe might prove as impossible as staying alive!

Thanks a ton to those who take the time to leave honest feedback.

It’s wonderful to see everything coming together.

About kittyb78

Catrina Barton is a licensed Kung-Fu Instructor of the Black Dragon style, and draws on that experience to make her fight scenes both realistic and action packed. She enjoys being surrounded by the stark beauty of mother nature. Whether it's a moon-lit starry sky, or a picnic by a peaceful waterfall cascading from the mountain side. Growing up no matter where she was physically, she always had at least one book in her hands and spent every free moment lost in a book. It's only natural that as she grew up, her passion for reading grew into an even stronger passion for writing, especially Young Adult Paranormal Romances. She is a proud member of many writing and marketing groups, and an active participant at Critique Circle and several other crit groups. Favorite personal quote: "An author cannot grow without both constructive criticism and encouragement."

If I was looking for YA paranormal, this cover would interest me, Kitty. I’d pick it up.

Thanks. My hubby worked hard on this. The final product will have more dynamic/realistic looking hair, knife in the sheathe and she’ll be carrying a camera. I adore what he did with the tiger. That’s my favorite part. :)

  2. Good luck for your book. Nervous and excited is an entirely normal author affliction!

Great artwork – one thought, though, can I suggest much bigger wording – make it part of the cover art composition. Using a contrasting colour, perhaps? Have a look at a post I put on my blog a while back:

which discusses some of the issues. And all the best – there’s nothing better than getting that book from your imagination to readers, making that creativity real. It’s always a special moment.
